Boudin, age seven, was heartworm positive when he was rescued in the nick of time from a Houston shelter. We adopted him in January 2008. He is now heartworm-negative, handsome, healthy, and happy.

Cressie, so named because of a white crescent on her back, was born in Canada. Her owner surrendered her to beagle rescue when she was a year old. We adopted her in July 2002.

This stunning hurricane lily, also known as a red spider lily, popped up out of nowhere in our front yard this past fall. We didn't plant it and so heaven only knows where it came from. We just hope it comes back next year, and brings some friends.
